1 Refund and Cancellation Policy
At The 7 Geeks, we strive to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction. This policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding refunds and appointment cancellations for our IT support, repair, and development services.
Refund Policy
We offer refunds or service remedies under the following conditions:
- Service Incomplete: If we are unable to resolve the specific issue outlined in your initial service request and no alternative technical solutions are viable, you may request a refund.
- Billing Adjustments: If you have been incorrectly charged or over-invoiced, we will promptly refund the excess amount.
- Service Deficiencies: If a completed service is found to be deficient due to an error on our part, a full or partial refund, or a re-performance of the service, will be offered at our discretion in line with Australian Consumer Law.
Exclusions:
- Refunds will not be provided for new or unrelated technical issues that appear after the initial service request is completed.
- Component failure or damage caused by third-party software interference, user misuse, or negligence after our service is complete is not eligible for a refund.
- Diagnostic and assessment fees are non-refundable if you choose not to proceed with the recommended repair or solution.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
- Free Cancellation: Cancellations or rescheduling requests made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will not incur any fees.
- Late Cancellation Fee: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may incur a fee equivalent to 50% of the estimated service charge.
- No-Show Policy: If you are not present at the designated location for an on-site service, or fail to respond to our technician at the scheduled time for a remote support session, a no-show fee of 50% of the estimated service charge will apply.
2 Service Warranty Policy
30-Day Repair Warranty: The 7 Geeks provides a 30-day warranty on all dedicated repair services.
- Scope: This warranty exclusively covers defects, part failures, or incomplete repairs directly related to the original service issue.
- Exclusions: The warranty does not cover software viruses contracted post-service, physical damage, user misuse, modifications made by third parties, or any completely new technical faults unrelated to the initial repair.
